April 15th Meeting

The next meeting is at Ottawa Pianos in Ottawa on Bank Street April 15th at 7pm. Dinner at 5pm at Local Heros accross the street. Don Cote will be presenting a class on touch from the performers perspective on a grand. Hope to see you there.

May 23rd - Steinway Seminar

Saturday, May 23rd, we have engaged Kent Webb from Steinway to teach at Potsdam. This all day event is free for Chapter members. It is about 1.5 hours from Ottawa. We will meet at Lane Millers shop in B174 Crane Plaza. This is on the ground level, approximately in the middle. Potsdam University http://www.potsdam.edu/ Campus Maps : http://www.potsdam.edu/about/visit/maps.cfm Directions From Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Head west out of Ottawa on 417/The Queensway. From 417, take Highway 416 South towards Cardinal. You will be on 416 approximately 46 miles. Continue onto Highway 16 and then turn right onto Highway 2. Turn left off of Highway 2 to cross the international bridge. Once in New York, bear right onto Route 812 South. Route 812 and Route 37 are the same for a few miles. You will be on Route 812 about 4 miles. From 812, turn left on Route 68. Travel Route 68 for 17 miles until reaching Canton, NY. Here you will bear left onto Route 11. Follow Route 11 for 11 miles into Potsdam. Once in the village, turn right onto 56 South. Route 56 turns into Pierrepont Avenue. From Pierrepont Avenue turn left onto Potsdam Drive. There is a maroon and white sign at the entrance to the college.

August BBQ

We will try for the BBQ a weekend the last 2 weeks of August. Since the week in the hospital work on the house stopped and I have been playing catch up. Also June 21st is Fathers day. Various people have conflicts. Going to aim for August 29th. If people respond about being able to come or not on this date it would firm that up. Bring family. This is waterfront with tons of space, swimming, canoeing, trampoline, volleyball and horseshoes, fire pit set up, extra building for activities and games. Those of us inclined towards piano stuff can gravitate towards the Steinway A2 for a session in the afternoon. Those interested in participating should write me so we can plan accordingly. Its 40min.
